I run short photography courses to master the controls on your camera. For the beginner this will get you out of the habit of taking all your photos on Auto so that you can get the most out of your camera and produce the best images. Also give you tips on composition, light, camera settings etc. I can also give advice on shooting with a mobile phone.
On all field trips bring camera, tripod, fully charged battery, empty memory card and sturdy footwear
Destinations include Coastal – rock shelves, waterfalls and rainforest
There is a maximum of 4 participants in each field trip. I also do a one on one trip as well.
Trip access is usually easy and only a moderate level if fitness is required. There are some uneven surfaces such as on the rock shelves which require a small amount of walking. Bring camera and tripod, monopod if you have one. Sturdy footwear, bag for camera and backpack for raincoat, water etc.
The plan is to arrive 30 minutes before sunrise/sunset to catch the ambient light and get set up. These sessions usually take 1-1.5hrs. Early morning light opens up a lot of opportunities for catching that early morning glow (The golden hour).
